Stock Rim backspacing and Size

Postby Beetlejay » Thu Mar 05, 2015 11:32 am

I recently aquired a 5th rim as a spare for my 71 Bus. I thought it would be useful to list the information on that rim for anyone that may need this data. It would be great to get a list together of as many stock rims as we can. This data can be very useful when calculating if a custom rim will work on your Bug or Bus.

Lug Pattern: 5x112
Rim Diameter: 14"
Rim Width: 5.5"
Rim Backspacing: 5"
Fits: 1971 and up Bus
Eat, Sleep, Live, Love and Drive VW!
1973 Super Beetle
1971 Deluxe Sunroof Bus
1999 New Beetle GLS

Excellent idea.

1968 thru 1969 VW beetle rims, They're usually painted 2 tone. White on outside and black on inside.
15 inch diameter
4 inch wide
3.5 inch offset

68-69 rims
