1967 Single Cab

Postby thecontractordude » Thu Dec 24, 2015 10:41 am

Greetings and Happy Holidays to all.

My family and I just recently move to Pittsburgh and along with us came the Vdub project.

The thread can be seen here:

I am currently working on the nose replacement. My goal is to make the cab cherry and then install the engine to drive it. I plan on just clear coating the beast to show of the OG paint for as long as I can.

Cheers

Awesome job! Nice thread too. You've done a lot of quality work to your single cab! Where in Cali are you from? Welcome to the club and to Pittsburgh!

Thanks! San Francisco Bay Area. Looking forward to warmer weather so I can get back on track with the SC.

You'll need to get a heater for your garage if you don't have one already. And you'll have to make it out to some of the shows this year and introduce yourself. A single cab in the lineup on the way in would be an awesome addition!

Well the weather is starting to turn for the better! I spoke with a few members at a show last summer where there were a mix of car makes and drag racing. I can't remember which show it was but it was a great time. I was helping a friend out at his booth selling transmission parts while he was racing his bug.

Are there any VW specific shops in the area that specializes in restroration? I am looking for some part time work.

Thanks!

Dan Barth, in the club, is looking for someone to get a couple of his rides running. He's looking for an air cooled mechanic.
